8 WWE Superstars You Didnt Know Wrestled in Japan

6. Brock Lesnar

Before Brock Lesnar was taking our favorite superstars to Suplex City, he was defending his titles in Japan.  On October 8th, 2005, Lesnar won his first IWGP Heavyweight Championship on his debut night.  It was a 3-way match in the Toyoko Dome against Kazuyuki Fujita and Masahiro Chono.  Lesnar won by pinning Chono after hitting him with an F-5 (known as the Verdict in Japan).  He later successfully defended his title on Jan 4th, 2006 against former IWGP Champion, Shinsuke Nakamura.  Roughly one year later, he defended his title against former WWE Superstar and Current TNA Superstar(at the time), Kurt Angle.  It was a title vs. title match.  Lesnar was defeated after tapping to Angles famous ankle lock.  Angle went on to be known as champion for both New Japan Pro Wrestling and TNA.  That was Lesnar’s last wrestling match until 2012.
