The United State is the land of opportunity, where anyone can be anything. Where rock beat scissors, paper beats rock, and where Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson could potentially be our next President. Throughout these past few years The Rock has hinted that he would be interested in running for President on a variety of platforms.
He recently did an interview with Vanity fair and when asked about a potential bid for Presidency he said I wouldn’t rule it out,” with a big smile after speaking at a press conference to promote his latest film Moana, “It would be a great opportunity to help people, so it’s possible. This past election shows that anything can happen.”
Maybe one day. Thanks man. https://t.co/k1S1SZxC3v
— Dwayne Johnson (@TheRock) October 8, 2016
In March 2016 he tweeted that “maybe one day” he would consider campaigning for the White House, and last June he posted to Instagram: “The idea of one day becoming President to create real positive impact and global change is very alluring.”
He spoke at the 2000 Republican National Convention encouraging young people to vote regardless of party affiliation. Does this mean he would run Republican? If he ran as a Democrat would Kanye be one of his competitors? I would definitely tune into that debate.
The Rock posted this uplifting message to America following the results of the most recent election:
The most important thing we can do right now is be 100% committed to becoming a better country. Many Americans are heart broken and many Americans are happy. Let's let the emotions of both sides settle and focus on our future. Concentrate on things we can control… work ethic, attitude, faith etc. We all wear a lot of hats in today's crazy life we live and the one I'm most proud of is being a father to two beautiful young daughters. At this time the only thing I can do for them is to continue to try my best to lead by example. I don't know what it's like to be born into wealth, nor I do I know what it's like to be a career politician. I do know what it's like to put in the hard work every day with my own two hands and earn my success from the sweat of my brow. That's all I know and all I'll continue to do. Lead by example. I encourage all of you to do the same. We got this. We're Americans and we forever "Hold the line" – DJ
Would you vote for The Rock in 2020?
Eminem fires back at Machine Gun Kelly with “Killshot” diss track (listen here)
Eminem promised that he would fire back at Machine Gun Kelly and he came through on Friday with the NSFW tracked titled “Killshot.”
Your reply got the crowd yellin’ ‘Ooo’, so before you die let’s see who can out-petty who with your corny lines,” he raps. “I’m 45 and I’m still out-selling you.”
Their issues date back to 2012 when MGK tweeted that Eminem’s then-16-year-old daughter Hallie was “hot as (expletive).” MGK later said that his tweet resulted in him getting blackballed from the music industry.
The feud escalated when MGK responded in a diss track titled “Rap Devil,” days after Eminem mentioned him on the “Kamikaze” album.
We’ll see how MGK responds to this. Here is the “Killshot” track that was released today:
Norm Macdonald explains his recent #MeToo comments
Norm Macdonald is setting the record straight after the backlash he received for comments about the #MeToo movement.
Macdonald was on The View on Thursday and said that his comments about #MeToo were taken out of context. He also said that his comment about being glad that #MeToo slowing down was a reference to Chris Hardwick and that people should not automatically make a judgment on a he-said-she-said case. Macdonald acknowledged that if someone had accusations from “500 women” then “obviously the guy is guilty.”
He was also asked about his “Tonight Show” appearance being canceled in the wake of his comments. The full interview can be seen below.
Mac Miller dead at 26 of apparent overdose
Mac Miller has died. TMZ is reporting that police were called around noon on Friday to his home in San Bernadino, CA and he was pronounced dead at the scene. Their police sources believe it was an overdose.
Miller was reportedly dealing with substance abuse issues and those issues were the deal breaker during his relationship with Ariana Grande.
Miller crashed into a utility pole in May and was arrested for DUI hit and run. He later confessed at his home after running away from the cops and he blew 2 times the legal limit.
Miller was scheduled to on tour next month beginning with a show in San Francisco. He was just 26 years old.
