WWE fans have gotten accustomed to John Cena not being a part of the WWE roster full-time as he transitions into Hollywood. So naturally, rumors will pop up about Cena and WWE’s relationship the same way the did when The Rock began his transition into Hollywood over a decade ago.
There are reports about John Cena being unhappy with WWE, in part, because of Bill Goldberg’s return to the company. Supposedly, John Cena was not happy about being “in the know” about Goldberg’s return and he feels that the money being spent on Goldberg should be spent on full-time talent.
We asked someone in WWE about this rumor and this was their response: “That’s ridiculous. John and Vince [McMahon] talk a few times per week and there haven’t been any signs of strain with their relationship. John is returning at the MSG show next month and he will be a part of WrestleMania. Goldberg and Lesnar were signed because they are box office [draws] and I think John gets that. The stories about John being upset are false.”
So there you have it. Cena is scheduled to return at the December 26 WWE live event at Madison Square Garden. He is currently shooting season 2 of FOX’s “American Grit” reality show. Cena vs. The Undertaker was a match that was in the planning stages for WrestleMania 32. Injuries to the roster forced WWE to change plans so it’s very possible that they will finally do that match at WrestleMania 33 in Orlando, FL.
