The viral photo of the week comes from Pennsylvania native Amy Palmer. She probably didn’t think much of it when she posted the photo but she and her husband quickly became viral internet sensations. Within hours, the photo was shared and liked by thousands of people.
Every news organization picked up on it. FOX, CBS, ABC and CNN picked up on the story within 48 hours and it was just a matter of time before it became a top trending topic on social media sites.
Amy’s son was recently admitted to the New York Pediatric hospital for an undisclosed illness and she has been by her son’s side. Needless to say, she has not gotten much sleep but one night as she woke up from a short nap, she saw her husband sleeping under her son’s crib. Amy took a photo of this precious moment and the rest is history.
Amy said the following on Facebook: “This is a picture of a hard-working man dedicated to his family!! After working all night third shift, he’s right here with his son who is in the hospital. He’s so tired but he’s here!! Father of the year award goes to Andre Palmer!!! I love you more than words baby.”
We agree. Give Andre the Father of the Year award because he deserves it!
Dog serves as best man (and good boy) at wedding
It comes as no surprise to most people as you grow through life, your amount of friends decreases as everyone goes separate ways. For one, Timmy Moutrie, had the perfect idea for his wedding, back in July 2017, Timmy and his wife would adopt a 3-year-old pitbull named Bruce and of course would become inseparable together. Timmy would explain how Bruce didn’t get the best start to life being chained to a fence but now that has all turned upside down as Bruce is a mountain explorer with Timmy going on many adventures as well as being currently trained to be certified at the local hospital as a therapy dog.
So what was next for Bruce and Timmy? Well after making such a huge impact on Timmy’s life, Timmy would repay the favour by making Bruce his best man at his own wedding, including, that’s right, a dog tuxedo. Being walked down the aisle by Timmy’s brother, Bruce while getting all the looks from guests, sat next to Timmy’s feet both as proud as each other. Bruce wasn’t the only dog invited to this majestic wedding, Timmys wife’s dog ‘Zeke’ would also walk the aisle as a ring bearer. Cuteness overload.
Three days ago, Timmy would let the world see Bruce in his tuxedo, posting a picture to Reddit and getting 40,000 upvotes in one day. Bruce quickly became a star and has surely sparked an interest in many peoples heads as to include pets in weddings, a truly magical day all around.
Where did Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer come from?
Rudolph first appeared in 1939 in a booklet written by Robert L. May that was published by Montgomery Ward, a department store. He is usually depicted as a young calf who barely has antlers and a glowing red nose. He is Santa’s ninth reindeer who is mocked and excluded by his peer for his difference in appearance. As the song goes they wouldn’t let him play in any reindeer games but then one foggy Christmas Eve Santa approached him and asked if he would guide their sleigh. Proving himself, Rudolph is treated as a hero and becomes everyone’s favorite reindeer.
Rulopdlph and his story is owned by The Rudolph Company, LP and has been adapted in numerous forms including songs, a television special, and feature films. Character Arts, LLC manages the licensing for the Rudolph Company, LP. 2014 marked the 75th anniversary of the character and the 50th anniversary of the television special. It’s hard to believe that Rudolph hasn’t always been around, it just wouldn’t be Christmas without him.
