“Stranger Things” star Millie Bobby Brown reportedly filed a lengthy complaint against her co-star David Harbour, alleging “harassment and bullying” before filming the show’s fifth season, the Daily Mail reported on Saturday. Brown, who portrays Eleven/Jane Hopper, was said to have included “pages and pages” of accusations in the claim.
The report noted that requests for comment sent to Netflix, series creators Matt and Ross Duffer, and representatives for Harbour and Brown were not immediately returned on Sunday.
A person with knowledge of the situation told the Daily Mail, “Millie Bobby Brown filed a harassment and bullying claim before they started shooting the last season. There were pages and pages of accusations. The investigation went on for months”.
As a result of the complaint, Harbour reportedly faced an internal inquiry. The outcome of this inquiry is currently unknown. The Daily Mail specified that none of the complaints filed by Brown were of a sexual nature.
Netflix declined to comment on the story to the Daily Mail.
This report surfaces as Harbour and Brown are gearing up for the release of the fifth and final season of “Stranger Things”. It also comes just days after Harbour’s ex-wife, Lily Allen, released her latest album “West End Girl,” which reportedly implies the actor cheated on her. Allen later stated in interviews that Harbour “exceeded the boundaries of their marriage”.
Despite the public nature of their separation, a source told the Daily Mail that Allen “steadfastly supported her husband throughout the ‘brutal’ ordeal” of the internal investigation.
The investigation, which reportedly lasted “for months,” is concluded. The first four episodes of the final season of “Stranger Things” are scheduled to be released in the United States on November 26.
