Tulsa King Season 3 Set to Premiere on September 21

The Paramount+ series Tulsa King is scheduled to premiere its third season on Sunday, September 21. The new season will continue the story of New York mafia capo Dwight “The General” Manfredi, who was exiled to Tulsa, Oklahoma, after serving a 25-year prison sentence. Created by Taylor Sheridan, the show has been a successful venture for Paramount+, leading to a renewal for a fourth season and a planned spinoff.

The new season will pick up after the dramatic cliffhanger of the season two finale. In the final moments of season two, Dwight appeared to have successfully legitimized his businesses and was looking forward to a life free from conflict. However, he was kidnapped by a shadowy group of armed men in tactical gear. The finale ended with an unidentified figure telling him, “You work for us now.” This event sets the stage for a new and dangerous conflict that will define the upcoming season.

The series is known for its blend of humor and drama, with Sylvester Stallone’s character, Dwight, often delivering memorable lines. In a previous season, Dwight spoke about his crew, stating, “None of this shit is ever going to happen unless we all cover each other’s backs. and we all become part of each other’s. family we do that I swear to you we’re going to put this fire out once and for all.”

The third season will introduce new characters and expand the show’s universe. Samuel L. Jackson is set to join the cast in a guest-starring role. His character, Russell Lee Washington, Jr., is a former prison friend of Manfredi who has been sent to kill him. This new character is expected to play a key role in a new spinoff series titled NOLA King, which will premiere in early 2026. The new season will also see the return of Terence Winter as an executive producer and head writer.

In a show of confidence, Paramount+ announced the renewal of Tulsa King for a fourth season even before the third season’s premiere. This early renewal, along with the planned NOLA King spinoff, suggests a long-term plan for the franchise. Sources have indicated that talks are underway for Stallone to sign another two-year deal that could extend the show to a six-season run. The fourth season is expected to continue the series’ trend of fall debuts.

The new season is also set to feature a host of returning cast members. Martin Starr, Jay Will, Max Casella, Vincent Piazza, Garrett Hedlund, and Dana Delany are all expected to reprise their roles. The season will be an eight-episode run, with new episodes dropping weekly on Sundays on Paramount+.
